Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the event free to attend and open to the public?
Yes. Grab your friends, your family, your dog, your neighbor’s dog — whoever — because Via Colori Street Painting Festival is rolling out the chalky red carpet and you’re all invited… for FREE! 🆓💃🐾
That’s right — no tickets, no fees, no excuses. Just pure, colorful, jaw-dropping street art, live entertainment, awesome vendors, tasty food trucks, and good vibes all weekend long.
Whether you’re an art lover, a casual stroller, or just in it for the snacks and selfies — there’s something for everyone. And did we mention it’s FREE? Because it’s FREE. 😎
What are the festival hours??
10 am-6 pm Saturday and 10 am-5 pm Sunday
Is it pet-friendly?
Yes, but pets must be on a leash, and you must clean up after your pet. ✨ Bonus points if your pet shows up in costume. Yes, we want to see a corgi in a taco. Or a cat dressed as Bob Ross. No pressure. But yes, pressure.
🐾 Pet-Friendly Perks Include:
• Shady chill zones so pets don’t overheat (or overjudge your art taste)
• Vendors with pet-themed art, treats, and possibly dog bowties 🎀
• Photo ops so good they’ll break the internet 🐾📸
So leash ’em up, dress ’em up, and get ready for a day of color, cuteness, and chalk masterpieces! 🎉
Where do I park?
Please see the map for parking. You may also find parking along River Road and local parking lots. The lot directly under the Big Four Bridge Ramp is reserved and secured for Via Staff, Emergency Services, and Musicians pulling into the stage.

Can anyone paint with chalk at the event?
Unfortunately no. 🎨🛑 Hold That Chalk! 🛑🎨
We LOVE that you’re excited about street painting — we are too! 💙 But just a heads up: free chalking on the festival sidewalks is discouraged during Via Colori Street Painting Festival, as all artist spots are reserved in advance for our incredible registered street painters. 🎨👩🎨👨🎨
✨ BUT GOOD NEWS!
We’ve got designated chalk zones just for attendees who want to get creative! We’ll even provide the chalk, so all you need to bring is your imagination (and maybe your best doodling pose).
🖍️ Please leave your personal sidewalk chalk at home so we can keep the artwork areas clean, safe, and fun for everyone.

Can I come see the chalk Monday after the festival?
Unfortunately no. Due to the venue rules, we power wash all the chalk off early Monday morning. Heads up, art lovers! The incredible chalk masterpieces at Via Colori Street Painting Festival are like a rainbow in a puddle — beautiful, magical, and totally temporary. 💨✨
Once the festival wraps up, our colorful pavement get a fresh rinse on Monday morning, and just like that… the art disappears. Poof! 💧🧽
That means if you want to witness these jaw-dropping, sidewalk-transforming works of art, you’ve got to see them IN PERSON during festival weekend. No replays, no do-overs, and no waiting ‘til Monday morning!
🎨 Come for the color, stay for the magic — but don’t miss it, or you’ll just be staring at very clean sidewalks.
