Louisville, Ky.— Via Colori 2017 is thrilled to welcome Louisville artist Kevlen Goodner (known as The Illest-Strator) to the festival. Mr. Goodner is an artist and illustrator who creates incredibly detailed, lifelike drawings that feature such energy they seem ready to leap into life. Fittingly for a festival that includes a huge party of costumed characters and cosplayers, Mr. Goodner’s work prominently features superheroes and comic characters. “Cosplay is a huge source of both inspiration, and artistic reference for Kevlen’s work.” says his admin, Shana.

This will be Mr. Goodner’s first year with Via Colori – his involvement came about at the urging of his business partner at Eureke Comic Labs, Jason Mattingly. Mr. Mattingly realized that Via Color would be a great place for Kevlen to share his talents. Shana goes on to explain that “Jason believed that since Kevlen works with so many diverse groups, and organizations in his efforts to share his message of creative freedom, in addition to the fact he’d (Kevlen) never participated in the event prior to its first year in Louisville, Via Colori would be a perfect fit”

Mr. Goodner will be conducting a live drawing demonstration during the festival – the completed drawing will go to New Beginnings Foundation. When asked what Mr. Goodner was most looking forward to about participating at Via Colori, Shana replied that “Kevlen is a teacher at heart, and enjoys sharing his knowledge/skill with anyone who might have questions about technique or career opportunities in illustration. He’s most excited about interacting with, and demonstrating for the Via Colori audience. Kevlen and those of us who work with him are honored to be a part of this year’s event. We look forward to a fantastic show!”
