Greetings, my fellow frozed dessert fans!
It is HOT out there, and I am not just talking about the weather. I am talking about announcements, news and just general cool things man has accomplished. We have a special one for you, that’s for sure. I am so excited, I am going to have to put ice cream on top of my ice cream to calm (or cool?) down! This announcement ranks right up there with Neil Armstrong on the moon. Do you remember that feat? Yeah, me either. I was only a year old. But this announcement is also just as exciting as the invention of ice cream, the wheel, sliced bread, mobile phones, legos, the 1966 Corvette Roadster, Cheez-its, velcro, elastic, Cool Whip, pizza, socket wrenches, 4-wheel drive, those plastic things on the end of shoe laces, Post-It Notes, 3-in-1 oil, layaway, pina coladas, outdoor carpet, the backhoe, plumbing, college sports, rednecks, donut holes, the Slinky, widgets, duct tape, beer, cartoons, the knitted beard hat……well, you get the idea. This is a big deal!
It was recently announced that Via Colori Kentucky gets a day out of the year all to iself. That’s right, the Mayor of Louisville, Kentucky declared October 21st as Via Colori Kentucky Day! How awesome is that?! Not only is our festival on the calendar, now we are our own holiday as well! But what do you get someone for Via Colori Kentucky Day? Ice cream is a good start. But a foster family would be perfect. Maybe it will be one with Cheez-its AND Ice cream. Sign me up!
Be sure to tell all of your friends about Via Colori Kentucky Day! It’s the only event of its kind and we like it that way. It is various art forms working together to save young lives. It is a weekend filled with love and awareness. It is a circus where everyone is center stage. It is the peanut butter in your chocolate, the yin to your yang, the perfect place to bring your family and smile, laugh, raise awareness for young souls…….and of course eat ice cream! And now it’s Via Colori Kentucky Day and we are excited to share it with you!!! Come join us on October 21st and 22nd as we help each other celebrate our special day and help foster kids find great homes. Save the date and save a kid!
